  • Complete pre-commissioning of DAF Tanks 8,11 and 12.
  • Commenced wet commissioning of DAF Tanks 11.
  • Completion of DAF Tanks 8, 11 and 12 on 4 August with removal of scissor lifts.
WTP Electrical Reliability Additional Works ~ F10133
  • Design
    • IFC – Design completed.
    • CE – The revised protection study completed.
  • Construction
    • Schneider LLI works scheduled for Jan 2022 finished. The last set of LLIs initially scheduled for October 2022.
    • ABB LLI works completed. 25W Blower Building SCADA works are in progress – 90% completed. The remaining works can’t be completed until a separate CE is approved by MW.
    • 160S relay upgrade works and LBS setting changes scheduled for Mid September.

WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461
  • Design
    • Civil Design – MLC/AIS foundation drawings being finalised.
    • MLCs – IFC drawings completed. Fabrication process has started.

    • RMU – IFC drawings issued for review.
  • Procurement
    • RMU – Ordered, delivery expected late-October.
    • RMU Control Panel – Contract executed; PO raised.
    • HV Kiosks – 30% design issued for review.

  • Construction
    • Civil works progressing (construction zone 7 and 8). Zone 1-6 works completed.

Gardiners Creek Sewer Rehabilitation ~ Y10248
  • Completed a big week with a further 3 liners installed utilising a crew from ACI in Sydney
  • Substation liner now installed, and Monash being installed on weekend of the 6 August.
  • The project now has 2 CIPP liners to install and 7 spiral liners.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • Shaft now down 16m and challenge to maximise blast depth whilst trying to maintain the vibration levels withing the allowable limits. Six day working week now in place.
  • Bridge design progressing to allow first pricing of ancillary concrete retaining wall works, but CHMP delays now moving to critical path.

Interlocking Safety Upgrades for HV Water Sites ~ Y10260
  • Completed Interlocking works at Silvan Mini Hydro, Thomson Hydro and Preston Hydro. Melbourne Water Operators were trained on the new key interlocking changes.
  • Silvan Mini Hydro rectification works were complete. Based on the report from site, there is no evidence of any contributing factors on the switchgear which has led to the damage caused. It appears to be operator error due to the operating handle not being fully inserted correctly before operating the switch. As per the report, the Operators onsite reinstating the Switch after the repairs, were taken through the operating process and the switch functioned as expected. Schneider Electric has rectified the issue with no additional cost to SFPJV or Melbourne Water
  • Re-submitted apps for Cardinia- Silvan pumping station. Works to commence on 5 September.
  • Upcoming Activities
    • Prepare for site work at Cardinia-Silvan pumping station on 5 September.
    • Prepare as-built drawing and documentation after construction completion.
