Holden Reservoir M486 Inlet Pipeline SP1 & SP2~ Q03295
  • PC Stage 1 requested.
  • Defects onsite re-restoration and LFI have been completed.
  • ACC to undertake some further defect repairs prior to stage 1.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Civil works – TWPS concrete collar, barometric loop pile completed. Commence FSA unloading bund.
  • Completed coating in FSA building.
  • E&IC – installation of electrical conduits and cable management system. Alkalinity system cutover and SAT commenced.
  • Mechanical – continue to fit out GAC return pipework and TWPS.
  • Design deliverables for CE04 under internal review.
  • Commenced Alkalinity system SAT. Issues encountered with existing CO2 system. Cutover works still on track as electrical pre-commissioning completed successfully.
  • CE04 approval from under way – internal Melbourne Water approvals completed. Awaiting formal CE direction.
Winneke Main Sub Station Switchboard Replacement ~ D10103
  • Design:
    • Civil 100% design package has been submitted to Melbourne Water.
    • 80% secondary design package is in progress.
  • Procurement:
    • RMU package – Order has been placed.
    • PLC package – Order has been placed.
    • HV Cables – Order has been placed.
    • FO Cables – Order will be placed this week.
  • Main Work Package:
    • Commissioning completed.
    • The final site walk through with Melbourne Water scheduled for 4 March.

  • Design:
    • Starting 62M
  • Procurement:
    • 62M and 54M CEs procurement in progress
  • Construction:
    • Modification of steel work  in 62HC for new CB installation.
    • Primary testing of new CB’s in 62HC.
    • Primary testing of VT’s in 62HA.
    • Cable installation in 62HA.
    • Earthing in 62HA.
    • All CEs approved by MW, total TCE 29.26M

  • Tankweld/AMES – installation of pipework cladding.
  • ADX Electrical – energization of switchroom achieved 9 February. Pre-commissioning and closeout of QA lots in progress.
  • Electro80 – mobilised on site and commenced pre-commissioning.
  • SFPJV – pre-commissioning 90% completed in RT building. Wet commissioning of 3W commenced.
  • Bluefire and Royal Eagle – commissioning in progress.
  • Austin Gardner (Project Engineer) commenced 21 February.
ETP Waste Activated Sludge ~ Q05102
  • 95% of long lead procurement items have arrived on site (compressor outstanding).
  • Hydrotesting of DAF tanks 8 and 11 completed.
  • Mechanical fabrication of shutdown materials completed.
  • Day 1 readiness review completed.
  • Executed electrical installation contract.
  • Execution of final mechanical installation works in progress.

WTP Electrical Reliability Additional Works ~ F10133
  • Design:
    • IFC – design completed.
    • CE – the revised protection study design in progress.
  • Construction:
    • Schneider LLI works scheduled for January finished. The last set of LLIs are scheduled for April.
    • Escutcheon works started.
    • RMU cut over works started and final RMU commissioning works are now in progress.
    • ABB LLI works are scheduled for mid March.
  • Procurement:
    • LLIs: ABB (x 21): Installation to begin in March.

WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461
  • Design:
    • Civil 100% design package has been submitted to Melbourne Water.
    • Currently Downer is working on the protection study. Cable sizing report and the fault current study report have been submitted to Melbourne Water.
  • Procurement:
    • MLC procurement – order has been placed.
    • Quotes received for the RMU. Currently going through the technical evaluation. Aiming to place the order this week.
    • Waiting for the HV Kiosk Substation quotes.
    • In the process of finalising the Civil sub contractor. Currently 2 x sub contractors are short listed.
  • Construction:
    • Aiming to mobilise on site by end of March.
Gardiners Creek Sewer Rehabilitation ~ Y10248
  • Some impacts to program – COVID impacted subbies.
  • Manhole modifications commenced.
  • Tree removal completed.
  • Cleaning of lines ongoing.
  • Mobilised to site office at Warrigal Rd and have it set up for use..

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • Shaft design complete:
    • Access to DOT site granted and hoarding to be installed in January.
    • Background noise modelling completed.
    • WBS finalised, costs still to be loaded into JDE once final breakdown has been agreed with new Commercial Manager.
    • Bridge subcontractors short listed and ECI process has commenced.
    • Site office has been chosen, existing house on DOT site to be refurbished.

Interlocking Safety Upgrades for HV Water Sites ~ Y10260
  • Design:
    • IFC design has been issued.
    • Stantec engaged Downer EDI for design.
  • Procurement:
    • Interlock kits have been ordered, current lead time of 14-16 weeks, no impact to schedule at this stage.
  • Finance:
    • Project in progress of setting up in PMR.
