M76 Water Main Renewal ~ Q02707
  • Mobilisation planning ongoing for early works.
  • MWC/SFPJV Negotiations with Council ongoing re Cricket/Footy Oval works.
  • Resourcing – Supervisor engaged to commence in September.
  • Site mobilization planned for mid-August, including installing fence, compound set up and tree removal works along alignment).

Essex Main Drain Renewal ~ Y10314
  • Reviewed updated Melbourne Water provided Geotechnical Information and issued a Pile Design Recommendation.
  • Early Investigation Civil Package awarded.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • Launch Shaft depth: 38.5m.
    • Remaining excavation: 0.8m.
    • Works will progress with construction of the shaft floor, thrust wall and tunnel eye, followed by Alimak install. Preparation will continue with installation of the jacking frame for tunnelling commencement scheduled in mid Sept 2023.
  • Riverside:
    • Direction Notice #1 – pause all bridge and shared user path works. Site has been demobilised awaiting further notice.
    • Receival shaft excavation complete at 14.1m deep. Further works have been paused in accordance with Direction Notice #1.
    • Direction Notice #2: Siphon options assessment underway.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Pre-commissioning completed.
  • Wet commissioning continues for systems.
  • First polymer delivery completed.
  • Site power connected to mains power.
Yan Yean Pump Station ~ Q05322
  • Delivery of surge vessels at storage yard.
  • FAT for cooling skids completed.
  • Finalizing IFC electrical, instrumentation and controls design.

  • Site compound set up completed.
  • Deliveries of 900 bends and pits commenced.
  • Water tanks delivered.
  • Tree felling completed, except within gated area.
  • Aqua DC finalizing hard stand (bearing capacity for cranes).

Hoppers Crossing Pump Station 66kV ~ F10428
  • Final CHAZOP was completed on 15 June.
  • Powercor has indicated it will upgrade its disconnector to a new RDB with Earth Switch in order to meet the Melbourne Water connection functional requirements. Awaiting Powercor to develop the scope involved with this upgrade.
  • Proposal challenge session for Q03109 Power Reliability was held on 14 June with Melbourne Water. Melbourne Water has sent a memo to begin early works while their business case is being approved.
  • Early procurement of Siemens CB has been approved for the pending Power Reliability variation works. Purchase Order is currently being raised.
  • Fire System scope is currently under review by SFP.
WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461
  • Design
    • LV and HV Control Narrative – MW comments received. The documents will be finalised after all SAT/FAT, testing and commissioning have been completed for the new assets.
    • LV Protection and Arc Flash Report – Updated document issued for MW review.
    • HV Protection Report – MW comments received. The document will be finalised after all SAT/FAT, testing and commissioning have been completed for the new assets.
    • HV Arc Flash Report – Arc fault containment within LV switchboard being clarified with MW. Proposed solution to reduce arc flash rating approved by MW, document being updated.
    • HV MOSAIC List – MW comments received, being actioned.
    • HV Kiosks – IFC Drawings – MW comments received.
  • Procurement 
    • MLCs – All MLCs have been delivered.
    • RMU – Delivered.
    • HV Kiosks – Eaton has advised Trivantage the RMUs will be delayed by another 12 weeks. Stage 1 completion date has been moved to 19th March 2024.
    • All HV, LV and FO cables have been delivered.
  • Construction
    • Civil
      • Seal generator conduits on North Rd MLCs.
    • Electrical
      • Temperature checks and tightness checks in aerator modules in South MLCs.
      • Tie in cable and install ladder lid over causeway.
      • Punchlist items in MLCs along North Rd.
    • Testing and Commissioning
      • Pre-commissioning and testing works in MLCs along North Rd.
