  • Stage 1 certificate received 8 April.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Installation of conduits completed. Install replacement valves in chemical building.
  • Mechanical installation continues in lime building, Groundwater Transfer PS and Hypo building.
  • Electrical installation continues with chemical switch room fit-out and MCC switch room.
  • Continue sand blasting and painting of wastewater equalisation tank.
  • FRP wall installed and planning of hydrotest in progress.
  • FSA dosing and transfer skid arrived on site.
Yan Yean Pump Station ~ Q05322
  • Day 1 readiness in progress.
  • Commenced service proving and geotechnical investigations.
Winneke Main Sub Station Switchboard Replacement ~ D10103
  • RMU141 Delivered to site. ABB informed that RMU143 is scheduled to be delivered to the site on 7 July.
  • In progress of Civil works and electrical construction works at Winneke Mini Hydro and HV Substation sites.
  • Mini Hydro Site – all the HV cables trifurcated. The fencing works and civil footing works completed.
  • Main Sub Station – RMU 141 installation works started – eeceived all the IFC design deliverables from PSD.
ETP HV-62A Switchboard & VH-LV Renewals ~ Y10307 (Q05103)
  • Completed installation of 22kV cable hauling between 84EH and New #2 Transformer.
  • Completed removal of OSS#1 TX.
  • Completed foundation concrete pour for OPS generator.
  • Started modification works in OSS#1 TX Vault.
  • Continued installing control cables to remote ends of the plant.
  • Continued works on control desk.
  • Started installation of fibre cable in power station.
ETP Recuperative Thickener ~ Q05772
  • Multi-project merge completed 30 June with no major issues. Minor issue with additional PCS licenses required. Currently being procured for installation.
  • Commissioning in progress.
  • Demobilization of site sheds completed.
ETP Waste Activated Sludge ~ Q05102
  • Gallery:
    • CAS panel piping – unfiltered and filtered completed this week.
    • Pipe support for 8 and 11 WAS/ASW header.
    • 65mm Saturator pipe and vent installation.
    • Installation of drain lines from saturator.
  • DAF 8, 11 & 12
    • TWAS pump piping as much as possible – remainder to complete after sludge trough installation.
    • Sludge trough panels delivery and loading into tanks.
    • Tensioning system for DAF tanks.
    • Cabling to RIO panel at DAF tank 8.
    • Cable tray system installation – finalising.
WTP Electrical Reliability Additional Works ~ F10133
  • The Protection study has been submitted as part of CE. Received a few comments back from PowerCor. Resubmitting the report by the end of week.
  • All the electrical fitting works completed apart from POC 2 works, which. is currently on hold until we receive the approval for protection study. An early warning letter has been submitted to Melbourne Water.
  • The reactor demolition works complete.
  • Blower Building LLI SCADA works in progress – 60% completed.

WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461
  • Civil works progressing (construction zone 5 & 6). Zone 1-4 works completed.
  • MLCs – 80% design. Melbourne Water comments received, being actioned.
  • RMU – comments on secondary drawings sent to Eaton. Delivery expected mid-October.
  • Fibre Cable – delivered, at Downer Dandenong Depot.
  • HV Kiosks – work on 30% design has started.
  • HV Cable – delivery expected mid-July.
  • LV Cables – RFQ process progressing. Nexans shortlisted.
  • RMU Control Panel – executing contract with Electro80.
  • Control Philosophy – Melbrourne Water comments received, being actioned.
Gardiners Creek Sewer Rehabilitation ~ Y10248
  • Some delays onsite in the relining of CIPP due to resource issues with parent company. Resources to be supplemented with resources from ACI Sydney.
  • Last of the Spiral and CIPP materials arrived in Melbourne.
  • The bypass systems for the CIPP works are all now installed and commissioned.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • First blast completed and works commencing on excavation of the next lowering of the shaft
  • Flow management plans being developed for measurement and inspection of the North Western main.
  • Bridge design progressing to allow first pricing of ancillary concrete retaining wall works.

Interlocking Safety Upgrades for HV Water Sites ~ Y10260
  • SE completed site visit to Cardinia to confirm key exchange boxes arrangement.  
  • Upcoming Activities:
    • Completion of Project Management Documents. 
    • Execution of contract with SE for the installation works. 
    • Schneider Electric has confirmed the interlock kits have arrived.   
    • Preparation of outage permits for Silvan, Thomson, Cardinia and Preston.
    • Prepare site works from 8 July.
Hoppers Crossing Pump Station 66kV ~ F10428
  • Issue for Tender documents for long lead items have been issued to Melbourne Water for review 17 June, responses will be submitted this week on 5 July. 
  • Survey investigations (including NDD) by Cardno are complete. Report submission by 28 July.
  • Geotech investigations (including NDD) by Taylors are complete. Report submission by 28 July.
  • Earth grid testing by PSD Energy is underway. Expected site completion 6 July.
