Holden Reservoir M486 Inlet Pipeline SP1 & SP2~ Q03295
  • Stage 1 certificate received 8 April.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Civil – backwash slab completed. Continue FRP of pipe penetrations. Concrete lining in cast in backwash header completed and recoating works continue. Cleaning of centre channel completed.
  • Mechanical – install pipework in lime building. Installation of coag/poly aid skids completed. Removal of backwash header and equipment for refurbishment. Commence backwash pump station installation.
  • Electrical – Main swtichroom major infrastructure installed. Continue fit out and rough in at alum/coag/lime building. Commence installation of conduits.
  • Underground piping – completed install of TWT inlet and commissioning bypass pipeline. Commence conduit installation.
  • HVAC mechanical installation completed in FSA building.
  • Commence installation of FRP dividing wall in filter channel.
Yan Yean Pump Station ~ Q05322
  • 30% design submitted to MW in preparation for 30% design workshop.
  • Day 1 readiness in progress.
  • Project Engineer (Jack Dodds) onboarding in progress and scheduled to start in June.
Winneke Main Sub Station Switchboard Replacement ~ D10103
  • Design:
    • Civil IFC Package complete.
    • IFC secondary design package complete.
  • Procurement:
    • RMU package – in progress of shipment; ABB informed that there is a delay of two weeks. Melbourne Water has been informed about this and an early warning letter sent to Melbourne Water – delivery date 27 June.
    • PLC package – in progress.
    • HV Cables – delivered to site.
    • FO Cables – delivered to site.
  • Main Work Package
    • Stage 1 Completion achieved on 11 March. Currently working on defects and hand over document.
ETP HV-62A Switchboard & VH-LV Renewals ~ Y10307 (Q05103)
  • Design:
    • 62M in progress
  • Procurement:
    • 62M and 54M CEs procurement in progress
  • Construction:
    • Completed generators 3,5 and 7 cutover outage.
    • Completed 6.6kV cable terminations for generator 3,5 and 7.
    • Completed removal of redundant control cable associated with generator 3,5 and 7.
    • Started excavation works of 54M kiosk transformer.
    • Completed concrete pour for PFC foundations.
    • OPS generator has been ordered.
    • Unit sub 62M Melbourne Water design completed, procurement pending.
    • Civil design for OPS generator completed, Astern quote received, and Melbourne Water approved in principle.

ETP Waste Activated Sludge ~ Q05102
  • ADXx electrical – continue terminating in 26MF switchboard. Installation of cables to field equipment.
  • AMS – continue fitout of DAF Tanks 8,11 and 12. Continue installation of gallery pipework, saturator system for DAF Tanks 8, 11and 12.
  • Completed civil/structural modifications in DAF tanks.

WTP Electrical Reliability Additional Works ~ F10133
  • Design:
    • IFC – design completed.
    • CE – The revised protection study completed. Currently being reviewed by Melbourne Water
  • Construction
    • Schneider LLI works scheduled for Jan 2022 finished. The last set of LLIs initially scheduled for April postponed until protection study is completed.
    • ABB LLI works completed. 25W Blower Building SCADA works are in progress
  • Other
    • An early warning letter has been submitted regarding the protection study. The planned activities can’t be completed until the protection study is approved

WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461
  • Design:
    • Civil – IFC drawings completed
    • MLC – Revised CFD report submitted for review
    • Control Philosophy – Submitted for review
  • Procurement:
    • RMU – Ordered, delivery expected mid-October
    • RMU Control Panel – Executing contract with Electro80
    • HV Kiosks – Executing contract with Trivantage
    • FO Cable – Delivered to Downer Dandenong Depot

  • Construction:

Gardiners Creek Sewer Rehabilitation ~ Y10248
  • Lining works commenced.
  • All lining materials ordered but the Covid impacts in China are delaying the CIPP materials delivery.
  • Penstock removal commenced and 50% complete.
  • CE1 submitted and approved.
  • Traversing sewer and bypass system has commenced.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • JV Partner still working through methodology for shaft and tunnelling works regarding subby/self perform engagement and to advice SFP on IR methodology. Advised it will be by the end of the week.
  • Site preparations to begin excavation of launch shaft.
  • Preparation of construction work pack documentation for Maribyrnong River access tracks.
  • Commenced Hamstead Rd & Willamson Road crossovers.
  • Continued site preparation for site concrete access road. Planning to finalise concrete road pour next week.

Interlocking Safety Upgrades for HV Water Sites ~ Y10260
  • SE completed site visit to Cardinia to confirm key exchange boxes arrangement.
  • Upcoming Activities:
    • Completion of Project Management Documents.
    • Execution of contract with SE for the installation works. 
    • Schneider Electric has confirmed the interlock kits have arrived.  
    • Preparation of outage permits for Silvan, Thomson, Cardinia and Preston.
    • Prepare site works from 8 July.
Hoppers Crossing Pump Station 66kV ~ F10428
  • APN received 13 May.
  • PSD designer engaged.
  • Handover and kick off completed.
  • Kick off with designers completed.
  • Meeting with AGGREKO regarding the variation (Power reliability) completed.
  • Site investigation scope completed.
  • DGM set up completed.
  • Site investigation scope sent to market for pricing.
  • Scope clarification meeting for Power Reliability variation was held with Melbourne Water.
