M76 Water Main Renewal ~ Q02707
  • APN issued.
  • Kick off meeting completed.
  • Management plans being issued.
  • Negotiating with council and MWC to get traffic plans agreed so that service locating and proving completed.
  • Negotiation with Monash Council on costs for the restoration of the football/cricket ground once works completed.

Essex Main Drain Renewal ~ Y10314
  • Initial site investigations of stormwater channel completed.
  • Design commenced.
  • Resourcing – recruiting 1 x SPE for the project.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • Launch Shaft depth: 35.6m.
    • Currently progressing with shaft excavation in shorter lifts (500mm).
    • Managing the water inflow away from the excavated face by extending the excavation below the base of the lift and digging drainage channels to a central sump. On recent lifts we have had to limit excavation to half the shaft (180°). This technique is allowing the shaft depth to progress in 500mm shotcrete lifts, with a shotcrete lift completion on a 4-5 day cycle.
    • Note: Forecast completion of Shaft Excavation is 4th Aug 2023 (not including base).
  • Riverside:
    • Construction of haul road access to bridge abutment continuing.
    • Shared user path sub-base preparation ongoing.
    • Medway slope stability solution via 1:2 batter cut in work. Excavation and disposal of uncontrolled fill required.
    • Receival shaft excavation progressing depth: 13.2m. (final depth is 14.8m).
    • Bridge package awarded and shop drawings and heavy haulage transport investigations underway.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Cross contamination prevention works completed.
  • Energization of MSB achieved 14 June.
  • Continue pre-commissioning (wet) for equipment.
Yan Yean Pump Station ~ Q05322
  • Finalizing IFC electrical, instrumentation and controls design.
  • HV switchboard and valves arrived.
  • Structural concrete at switch room, pump hall and valve chamber.
  • Commencement of underground pipework at valve chamber.
  • M190 tie-in planning in progress.
Yan Yean Bald Hill Pipeline ~ Q05333
  • Site offices have been landed, with plumbing and breezeways being installed.
  • Fencing of the pipeline corridor continuing.
  • AMES mobilising to site and constructing compound.
  • Negotiation of CE22 escalation ongoing need to get a response from Melbourne Water.
Hoppers Crossing Pump Station 66kV ~ F10428
  • Final CHAZOP was completed on 15 June.
  • Powercor has indicated it will upgrade its disconnector to a new RDB with Earth Switch in order to meet the Melbourne Water connection functional requirements. Awaiting Powercor to develop the scope involved with this upgrade.
  • Proposal challenge session for Q03109 Power Reliability was held on 14/06 with Melbourne Water. MW has sent a memo to begin early works while their business case is being approved.
  • Early procurement of Siemens CB has been approved for the pending Power Reliability variation works. Purchase Order is currently being raised.
  • Fire System scope is currently under review by SFP.
WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461
  • Design
    • LV and HV Control Narrative – Melbourne Water comments received. The documents will be finalised after all SAT/FAT have been completed.
    • LV Protection and Arc Flash Report – Updated document issued for Melbourne Water review.
    • HV Protection Report – Melbourne Water comments received. The documents will be finalised after all SAT/FAT have been completed.
    • HV Arc Flash Report – Arc fault containment within LV switchboard being clarified with Melbourne Water. Waiting confirmation from Melbourne Water on the proposed solution to reduce arc flash rating.
    • RMU Control Panel – Melbourne Water comments received.
    • HV MOSAIC List – Issued for Melbourne Water review and implementation.
    • HV Kiosks – IFC Drawings – Issued for Melbourne Water review.
  • Procurement 
    • MLCs – All MLCs have been delivered.
