  • Stage 1 certificate received 8 April.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Continue mechanical and electrical fit-out.
  • Completed Main Site Control Board shutdown connection 9 November.
Yan Yean Pump Station ~ Q05322
  • Design team working to deliver IFC pack for civil and service relocations. 90% mechanical design scheduled for December.
  • Review of earthworks, service relocation and M104 tie-in being conducted. RFQs sent out for concrete, structural steel and building packages.
  • Procurement of electrical equipment in progress
  • Heritage permit conditions negatively effecting mobilisation on site.

  • CHMP east inductions completed.
  • CHMP West review put on hold with potential approval at Christmas.

  • Construction
    • Continued cable hauling between 32H and 62HA. 450m installed of 600m. Start on second cable.
    • Started rectification works on 62H/ 62HB door way.
    • Completed fire system certification.
    • Completed earth grid performance testing.
ETP Recuperative Thickener ~ Q05772
  • Wet weather has effected ETP operation leading to disruptions to operating the RT system. Cost and time for this operation to be negotiated with Melbourne Water.
  • 3W water condition back online. System being flushed and operated to continue process commissioning.
ETP Waste Activated Sludge ~ Q05102
  • Tank 8,11 and 12 gearboxes replaced and recommenced process commissioning. PoPT scheduled to commence in December.
  • Due to wet weather, tanks 2-6 scheduled to be handed over to SFPJV for works 12 December for recommencement of work. Impact of delay to be demonstrated to Melbourne Water.
  • Compressor commissioning completed.

  • Design
    • Civil Design – IFC Design Completed
    • MLCs – IFC Design completed
    • Control Philosophy – Approved by Melbourne Water.
    • Earthing Design Study – IFC Design completed
    • HV Control Narrative – Issued for review.
    • LV Control Narrative – In progress
    • Completed HV/ LV CHAZOP, currently resolving comments 
  • Procurement
    • MLC Delivery – first 2 x MLCs will be delivered on 2nd week of Jan 23. 
    • RMU – Delivery expected late Feb 23.
    • RMU Control Panel – design submitted for Melbourne Water review.
    • HV Kiosks – Submitted 80% design for Melbourne Water review.
    • All required cables have been procured 
  • Construction
    • Civil works progressing – MLC and aerator foundation works 90% complete on south road (Zone 2 to 5). Planned to commence foundation works on Zone 7 to 10 in December. 
    • Commissioning Plan – Received comments from Melbourne Water, amended plan and sent for further review.
Gardiners Creek Sewer Rehabilitation ~ Y10248
  • MW approved the undertaking of legacy project – which will be a art installation in the Burke Rd tunnel.
  • First QA submission issued to Melbourne Water for review
  • As Built survey completed, and drawings being prepared.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • Shaft now over 27m
  • Vibration levels remain low.
  • Bulk earthworks and access track construction in Medway underway to facilitate excavation of receival shaft.
  • IFC release of Bridge design scheduled 9 December

  • 80% Design Package under development.

  • Power Reliability (Q03109) – Functional requirements have now been settled. Load study has been completed and issued to Melbourne Water. GAs currently under development, which will be used for pricing. Long lead item specifications out for pricing.
  • Melbourne Water have requested a SiD/RA workshop on the suitability of the OIU (as per functional requirements) for operating HV switchgear. To be held before the end of the year.
