North Yarra Main Relining Upper Section ~ Y10234
  • Site office set up complete.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • Launch Shaft
  • 245m complete (approx. 30%). Ground conditions are challenging resulting in a low TBM advance rate. Sticky clay conditions continue to block the TBM head resulting in increased downtime associated with manual clearing of the TBM head.  The following actions are being taken:
    • Increase slurry line suction pressure through the implementation of 2.2 pump early. Note: P2.3 failure has delayed the implementation of the above.
    • Alteration to the slurry injection arrangement in the cutter head – works underway to modify nozzles.
    • Implemented a detergent additive to prevent cut clay sticking together and blocking the head. Have adjusted these additives to include a Clay Cutter.
    • “Mud Doctor” attended site on the 30th Nov 2023. Additives being used are correct, advised to increase concentration.
    • Maintain a reduced cutter head rotation pressure to <90bar.
    • EWN has been issued to MW
    • Geotech sample testing for Particle Size Distribution, Moisture Content and Plasticity Index, outlook TBA
  • Riverside:
    • Direction Notice #1 – Site has been de-mobilised.
    • Direction Notice #2: Siphon options assessment complete.
    • HEC-RAS flood calibration report to be submitted.
    • Geotech investigations underway to help inform design solution.
    • HDD option being explored.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Submitted documentation for DoH verification of FSA system.
  • Process commissioning in progress.
  • Samples taken for MIB/geosmin spike testing. Results expected in early December 2023.

  • Grants Road has installed 1581m of pipe with 1000m left to be completed.
  • Paddock section have installed 1698m to date and have 4825m to complete.
  • Productivities are tracking as expected. Overall works are 36% complete.
Hoppers Crossing Pump Station 66kV ~ F10428
  • NDD Survey report was issued by Taylors on 16 November. Impact on project has been assessed; the technical solution and deliverables list have now been updated accordingly. This will form part of the proposal submission for Q03109 Power Reliability. 
  • Pricing for Q03109 Power Reliability variation is currently being finalised with fire scope. Total change event value will be approximately $5.2m (revenue). Submission to MW will occur post SFP internal review.
  • RMU offers have been received.
  • Design for the main F10428 66kV Renewal project is progressing to IFC. Expected to be issued December 2023.
WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461
  • Construction
    • Back fill straight join excavation in roadway and reinstate area around 48XA05 kiosk.
    • Install 48XA05 kiosk on plinth.
    • Terminate HV, LV and fibre cables at 48XA05 kiosk.
  • Testing and Commissioning
    • SAT testing 48XA05 kiosk.
    • HV cable testing on cables to 48XA05 kiosk.
