  • Stage 1 certificate received 8 April.
Yan Yean WTP Upgrade~ Q04385
  • Electrical installation for Main Distribution Board completed in preparation for Ausnet shutdown. This shutdown was delayed due to issues at Ausnet.
  • Continue civil, mechanical and electrical works on site.
Yan Yean Pump Station ~ Q05322
  • Day 1 readiness in progress.
  • Relocated YYWTP site facilities to enable works.
  • Procurement of pumps completed.
  • Detailed design and procurement continues.
Yan Yean Bald Hill Pipeline ~ Q05333
  • IFC drawings issued to Melbourne Water.
  • Selection of pipeline contracts progressing well.
  • Melbourne Water talk of further CHMP delays that will impact the project mobilisation.
Winneke Main Sub Station Switchboard Replacement ~ D10103

    • 62M in progress
  • Procurement
    • Continued cable hauling between 32H and 62HA. 450m installed of 600m. Start on second cable.
    • Started rectification works on 62H/ 62HB door way.
    • Completed fire system certification.
    • Completed earth grid performance testing.
    • All CEs approved by MW, total TCE 29.45M
ETP Recuperative Thickener ~ Q05772
  • Process commissioning continues with the operation of the rotary drum thickeners to bring the digester operation within design envelop. Estimated time for process stabilisation in preparation for proof of performance is six weeks. Cost and time for this operation to be negotiated with Melbourne Water.
  • Automatic gate completed.
ETP Waste Activated Sludge ~ Q05102
  • Completion of PLC download for Phase 1 controls 30 October.
  • Commenced process commissioning of tanks 8,11 and 12 with sludge introduced. Process stability and reliability being monitored in preparation of proof of performance.
WTP Electrical Reliability Additional Works ~ F10133
  • Design
    • IFC – Design completed.
    • CE – The revised protection study completed.
  • Construction
    • Schneider LLI works scheduled for January 2022 finished. The last set of LLIs initially scheduled for 18 October 2022.
    • ABB LLI works completed. 25W Blower Building SCADA works are in progress – 90% completed. The remaining works can’t be completed until a separate CE is approved by Melbourne Water.
    • 160S relay upgrade works and LBS setting changes completed.

WTP 25W Lagoon Pond 1 HV and LV Renewals ~ F10461

    • Civil design – IFC design completed.
    • MLCs – IFC design completed.
    • Control philosophy – approved by Melbourne Water.
    • Earthing design study –  IFC design completed.

    • RMU – Delivery expected late October.
    • RMU Control Panel – Work on design started.
    • HV Kiosks – Work on 80% design started.

  • Construction
    • Civil works progressing (construction zone 9 and 12). Zone 1-8 works completed.
    • Commissioning Plan – Issued for review.
Gardiners Creek Sewer Rehabilitation ~ Y10248
  • 2 liners remain to be installed.
  • Demobilisation of site being undertaken.
  • The project now has 1 CIPP liners to install and 1 spiral liners.
  • Project completed a very successful community day.

Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation ~ P31258
  • Shaft now down 16m and challenge to maximise blast depth whilst trying to maintain the vibration levels withing the allowable limits. Six day working week now in place.
  • Bridge design progressing to allow first pricing of ancillary concrete retaining wall works, but CHMP delays now moving to critical path.

Interlocking Safety Upgrades for HV Water Sites ~ Y10260
  • Completed Interlocking works at Silvan Mini Hydro, Thomson Hydro and Preston Hydro, and Cardinia Silvan Pumping Station.  MW Operators were trained on the new key interlocking changes. 
  • Stage 1 Completion achieved on 14 September 2022.

    • Prepare as-built drawing and documentation.

  • Power Reliability (Q03109) – Functional requirements have now been settled. Early Works scope (load studies & tender specs) has been approved in principle. Final pricing for this variation to be submitted to MW once the specs are available to be priced by the market.
