Safety Initiative Booklets
SFP ran an All Staff Toolbox Talk (ASTT) event across all projects in the month of March. The ASTT included the introduction of Hazard Observation/Safety Initiative Booklets which have been produced to assist with our skilled workforce reporting either hazards or initiatives in a simple manner.
Hard Hat Name Tags
SFP also introduced name tags on hard hats as a simple initiative to aid personnel in speaking to one another and knowing someone’s name.
Covid Outbreak
A COVID outbreak was experienced at our Maribyrnong Main Sewer Augmentation Project. Eight personnel were linked to this outbreak over a one week period which led to a report being lodged with the Department of Health as per Government guidelines. Works were delayed somewhat however the team has now returned to work following a deep clean of the facility.
KPI 1 SFPJV TRIFR
The rolling 12-month TRIFR rate as well as the TRIFR for this financial year is 0.00.
KPI 2 ~ Safety Culture
SFP completed the first of the ‘NEW’ format Safety Culture Surveys in November 2021. Responses from this survey have resulted in an overall Pro-Gen score of 86%. It is believed this will now become our new baseline score with future improvements based on this.
