SFPJV had the busiest working month in its history to date with the over 50K hours worked for the month. Critical control inspections continue to be undertaken for all critical risk activities with 438 completed in October, the most completed to date.
October’s toolboxes concentrated on ‘Working at Heights’, one of our critical risk activities that has resulted in several incidents across SFPJV’s parent organisations in recent months, also ‘Snake Bites’ as a precursor to the upcoming season where snake activity increases.
Another busy month with over 44K hours worked for the month. Critical control inspections continue to be undertaken for all critical risk activities with 330 completed in November.
November’s toolboxes concentrated on ‘Heat Stress’ in line with the upcoming Summer heat, the other related to ‘Spread of Weeds and Pathogens’ to remind all on the environmental controls associated with bringing mobile plant onto construction sites.

The rolling 12-month TRIFR rate is 5.34. YTD is 5.27.
KPI 2 ~ Safety Culture
In June of 2023, SFP carried out Safety Culture Surveys across all its sites. This round of surveys was conducted with the participation of more than 120 individuals. The responses gathered from this survey have resulted in an overall Pro-Gen score of 89%.
