August Recognition Award – Chris Loveless!
In the course of his work Chris identified a potential hazard from the site container doors closing in the high wind. Chris designed a lock which would be used on either side of the container door to ensure that when the door was open, it remained open. He made the lock from heavy gauge steel, so it’s virtually indestructible, as well as having the weight to withstand high winds. The design is easy and intuitive to use.
We love innovative approaches to problem solving here at the SFPJV, and this ticks that box! The device also aligns with the Melbourne Water Safety Behaviour of “Right Tool for the Right Task and our values of continuous improvement and looking out for each other.
