A Wedding . . . .

Congratulations to Jay and Hannah who were married on 30 December on a family friends farm in Levin, NZ.

They had the perfect wedding day, weather was not too hot and their son Rory was well behaved. Hannah Burgess was 28 weeks pregnant at this stage.

and a Surprise!

Unexpectedly, Levi Jack Burgess wanted to be born as a Kiwi and was born on 7 January at 10am at the Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Memorial Hospital, only weighing 1.4kg.

Luckily everything is going very smoothly and both mum and bub are healthy and well. Jay and Hannah are feeling very well supported by friends and family. A huge welcome to little Levi!

January Recognition Award – Jody Friend!

A very small window of time was available for a site wide outage at ETP to complete planned works – with the potential of a huge bottle neck.

With the planned works delayed multiple times, Jody and his team continuously fine tuned and coordinated the outage plans to suit Melbourne Water’s needs, resulting in the successful completion of all works within the very small window of time, with no bottle necks!

Jody showed exceptional leadership and management skills during this process, communicating clearly, ensuring everyone had the right tools for the job, managaing the risk and opportunities, whilst maintaining his focus on the customer’s needs.

Congratulations to Jody and his whole team!

A shout out to the other January nominees Luke Cinerari, Matt Lyon, John Payne, Kelly McPhee, Louie Naldrett, Fleur Bajraszewski, David Plunkett and Amanda Blackman.

Keep up the good work!
