Melbourne (Water) Cup – 10,000 STEPS
Fantastic effort from all who participated in the Melbourne Water Cup 10,000 Steps Initiative. The goal was to see how many steps we could do collectively in the lead up to Cup Day.
Quaranteam SFP came 17th out of 58 teams, with a cumulative total of 2,885,909 steps! Well done!
Based on the total number of steps all teams did during the challenge, Melbourne Water donated $5,000 to Second Bite, an organisation that rescues surplus or unsold food and distributes it to vulnerable Australians.
Employee Recognition Award
Our October Recognition Award goes to Sarah Harding, who is working as the Project Controls Coordinator on the Yan Yean Project.
Sarah has shown great leadership in, “Herding the cats” aka engineers, to produce a thorough and detailed Forecast Cost to Complete for the month.
Massive thanks from the Senior Leadership Team for going above and beyond Sarah and we know this will be one of many recognitions you will receive for your great work ethic, never say die attitude and just give me the right information attitude.
Christmas Shutdown
With Christmas just five weeks away, SFP will officially shutdown from close of business Wednesday 22 December 2021 and will return to work Monday 10 January 2022.
However, the expectation is that major construction shall finish up on the 17 December. The last week is for making our sites safe, completing outstanding paperwork and planning for key tasks in the new year.
It has been tumultuous year and this break is a great opportunity to relax, spend time with loved ones and refocus ourselves. We thank everyone for their effort and the remarkable progress we have made is a credit to the hard work everyone has made SFP a success.
