Employee Recognition Award

Our September Recognition Award (Courage Award) goes to Jenny Hiller, SFP’s Senior Engagement Advisor. Jenny courageously shared her family’s story of their experience with Bowel Cancer as part of Women’s Health Week.

Jenny was generous enough to make a short recording to share this story with us all which can be viewed here.

This is a testament to how something unrecognised can change someone’s life in a short period of time. You can find more information at Bowel Cancer Australia.

Melbourne (Water) Cup – 10,000 Steps

Melbourne Water is running a great initiative this month which coincides with Walktober, a month dedicated to encouraging people to get about and walk.

As we gallop towards reopening Victoria and enjoying greater freedoms, getting ourselves moving and connecting with others is important for our wellbeing.

The goal is simple, our team will see how many steps we can collectively walk or run in the three weeks leading up to Cup Day (2 November).

Melbourne Water will make donation to Second Bite, an organisation that rescues surplus or unsold food and distributes it to vulnerable Australians, based upon the number of steps we complete.
