NAWIC WIN

Congratulations to Jenneli Mink on winning the NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction) Design Award for her work on the ETP Recuperative Thickening Project.

Jenneli was joined by her husband Michael, Paul Kersey (Stantec) and her SFP associates Chris Zarosinski, Chris Povey, Louie Naldrett, Marjan Razmjooee and Jackie Starzer to receive her award at the Awards Dinner on 25 October.

END OF YEAR CELEBRATION

A great night was had by all at the annual End of Year Celebration held on 6 December at Platform 28 in Docklands, with over 50 staff from all projects and partner companies in attendance.

The recipient of the November (Matt Borradale) Reward & Recognition Award was revealed and the winner of the $500 Nominators Draw was announced (Anthony Scammell).

On behalf of SFP, Chris thanked the team for their hard work during 2024, congratulating them on their achievements during a very challenging year and encouraging everyone to stay safe over the coming festive season.

2024 AWA Awards

Melbourne Water nominated the Sustainable Construction Framework Initiative for the 2024 AWA Organisation Excellence Award and received a Highly Commended.

The Awards night was attended by Framework contributors from Melbourne Water and John Holland, along with Gina Sotelo and Fleur Bajraszewski representing SFP. Congratulations to all those involved.


September Reward & Recognition Award – Mario Matijevic

Mario showed an excellent attitude towards trenching in Erica Street and working around the redundant live services. Mario ensured all controls where in place to prevent any hits to live services and make sure all redundant services were safe to remove.

Values: Value Added Thinking, Doing More with Less and Eliminating Non-value Adding Tasks.

October Reward & Recognition Award – Vikki Cabral

Vikki has been going above and beyond in multiple areas, with two nominations for October:

  • Delivering a high standard of Health and Safety across multiple projects NHWL, YYBHP, YYWTP and YYPS, this has taken pressure off the team and has created a positive work environment.
  • With multiple personnel changes and leave at Yan Yean Bald Hill, Vikki went above and beyond to fill the gaps and assisted with inspections to ensure all requirements were met. Vikki always shows sincere care for the people on her projects, demonstrating relationship management and engagement of people.

November Reward & Recognition Award – Matt Borradale

Matt goes above and beyond for Melbourne Water, ensuring their relationship with landowners is positive and always acts in the projects best interests to produce safe, quality outcomes.

Matt demonstrates Values of: Customer Focus, Relationship Management, Continuous Improvement and Value Added Thinking.

2024 Nominator Draw – Anthony Scammell

Kiran Varma

With the draining of the Mount Waverley Reservoir there’s been increased interest by MW to show people through the asset. As SFPJV have a permit system in place, MPD team members are utilising the M76 Project to access the reservoir and show people through the asset. Kiran has volunteered time away from his work tasks to facilitate this for them.

Craig Reichl

Craig’s approach to the sustainable options presented by MW for the Maribyrnong Siphon tender showed great customer focus, setting an example for others.

Tania Conrad

The YYWTP project was nearing completion, and several complex contracts needed to be closed out effectively. The project was under tight deadlines and there was a risk of delays if the contracts were not managed efficiently. Tania’s handling of the process showed technical competence and innovation in simplifying processes.

Amanda and Tania both stepped up to help improve the reporting in supplier spends to help streamline the ICN reporting process.

Oren Levy

Oren demonstrated continuous improvement with his excellent skills on Asite, ensuring the project achieved it’s monthly KPI.

Midhat Omahic

Midhat goes above and beyond ensuring everybody onsite complies with SFP’s safety protocols, this includes truck deliveries in relation to both PPE and securing their loads.
